Rediscovering Meaning In Our Work

Presentations, Workshops and Conferences

Presentations and Workshops:

Dr. Deb Roman contributes to medical conferences nationwide, providing presentations and facilitating workshops. She explores cutting-edge ways to enhance physician health and well-being, achieve personal and professional fulfillment and cultivate compassion in healthcare.

Testimonial:

I was very fortunate to attend Dr. Deb Roman's enlightening and thought provoking presentation.  I walked away feeling encouraged and validated that my struggles as a solo physician were not unique and that there are practical ways to reduce and manage the physical and emotional burnout that is so prevalent.  I had several opportunities to speak with her one-on-one during the conference and am delighted to have found an unusually warm, compassionate and intelligent friend. — Dr. Bret B.

Conferences:

In our Rediscovering Meaning In Our Work conferences, physicians are invited to come together for a few days to explore ways to enhance their health and well-being, promote collaborative healthcare system changes and rekindle their enthusiasm for professional work.

We bring together leading clinicians and researchers from around the world to present cutting-edge research and investigate innovative approaches and opportunities with physicians.

Our conferences are experiential and interactive (primarily small group discussions) and offer physicians ample time for relaxation and conversations with peers.  Music, movement, and art are integrated into our retreat-like conferences.

Testimonial:

I attended the 2018 conference, and can genuinely attest that I found it to be one of the most impressive CME conferences I have ever attended. The information, education and resources were fantastic, and the mental well-being that was promoted was very nice. The physician-only day led to increased camaraderie and I made several new connections that have helped me both in my personal but also professional life as I now know many more physicians in the community for shared-patient continuity of care. I found this to be profoundly beneficial for my patients and I look forward to additional conferences. Erika A.
